Sending a coin back
You have 7 days from the day a coin is delivered to start a return. You pay the return shipping. There is no restocking fee.
Every return is arranged by email. Write to me inside the 7 days and I will send you the shipping details in my reply.
Email about a return →The short version
- 7 days from delivery. The clock starts when the package is delivered, not when it was ordered and not when it was opened. Email inside that window and the return is open.
- You pay the return shipping. Send it insured and tracked for what the coin cost, and keep the tracking number.
- No restocking fee. Nothing is held back for putting the coin back in the case.
It comes back as it was sold
- In the same holder. A slab that has been cracked out is not the coin that was sold. Neither is a raw coin that has since been sent off and graded.
- Not cleaned and not dipped. A coin that has been worked on is a different coin, and there is no undoing it.
- With the label intact. For a graded coin the cert number on the label is how I confirm the coin that came back is the coin that left.
Photograph it before you pack it. Front, back and the label. It settles any question about how the coin travelled without either of us guessing.
How a return works
- Email me inside the window. Say which coin it is and why it is coming back. I answer with where to ship it and what to put in the box.
- Pack it the way it arrived. Same holder, padded the same, insured and tracked. The return shipping is yours.
- I check it and refund it. Once the coin is here and I have confirmed it is the one that left, the money goes back.
The refund
To the payment method you used. It goes back the way it came in, not as store credit and not as a coin of similar value.
After the coin is back and checked. A tracking number that says a package is moving is not the same as a coin in hand, and I will not refund against one.
What is not a return
Bullion, after the metal has moved. A round or a bar is priced off the spot price at the moment it is sold, and spot is repriced by the minute. If silver is down on Thursday that is the metal market, not a fault in the piece, and it is not grounds to send it back.
Everything else in the case comes back on the terms above.
